My situation:
About 4 months ago an NCO Collection appeared on my account 3 CRA reports.
As this account really wasn't me, I DV'd. I also played with the CRA .
2 weeks later they were gone from all my reports. A week later I received a nice letter from NCO-compliance, signed, apologized and said the account was closed with their offices.
Today, on the infamous PG, I noticed that my TU score dropped by 4 points. I looked at the account history, and could not change . I've noticed that NCO had two inquiries on my account . TU Yesterday
Games?
Or what? Anyone?
There no NCO TL somewhere on the report.
Reply:don't give up yet…
If all your old debts are out of SOL, then there's not much to worry about…
If it were me (knowing that ANYTHING I have/had is either never late, beyond SOL, or IIB), I'd send a non-pp letter…
Reply:FRUSTRATING! GRRRRRRRR
Reply:I am doing Credit Repair after a weird divorce some time ago….although my baddies are way down there may be something still floating around somewhere…
The point is, do CAs' normally pull a InQ several times a day? Just curious…
Perhaps I should just give up on this repair…Seems every time I put out one fire another pops up elsewhere….frustrating…I really don't NEED or use credit maybe I should just keep using cash and reduce the stress…
Reply:well, do you have any past due bills that may have been sold to them?
two INQs because they're morons most likely….
Reply:Hmmm, good question….Pryan….
How would I find that out without using the infamous phone?
I hesitate to wait for a TL to pop up? (Not that I have any affirmative control of that)….
My MAIN question is why TWO inquiries to only one CRA in ONE day?
Reply:I'd send a non-PP letter to NCO if you're 100% SURE that they don't have a collection for you…they may have picked up another one
Reply:Yes just dispute as Non-permissable purpose….
Reply:I AM opted out….
We can dispute inquiries? Yikes…I wasn't aware of that (red-faced)
Reply:Have you opted out?
Same thing happened to me 2 years ago, i saw the inquiries, disputed, and they came off, and appeared again the next month. Dispute again with NCO and they should come off and stay off, they did for me.
